Severine A. Berthelot
Actress I Voice-over
Testimonials
The most beautiful reward is the satisfaction of the people who trust us with their project, and for which we have invested ourselves completely
Xavier Mauméjean Writer
I first got to know Séverine through her profession. Portraying roles means maintaining a distance, simultaneously close and fragile, yet always necessary, between personality and character. Séverine achieves this every time. But far beyond just serving roles, Séverine serves her community, that of actors and actresses. This is how we connected, at her initiative, inviting me to engage with the AAFA. As an observer, to testify temporarily about the unfortunate shared precarious conditions.
Then there was the Red Team and this figure of a rebel fighting against the tyranny of economic and political powers. I thought of no one but Séverine, because she was Alia n'Saadi. Personality and character were then separated by a hair's breadth. Finally, there was the Foules exhibition organized by the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. It required a voice that embodies crowds in their infinite variations, a voice like a river or a torrent, carried solely by waves and sound. Alone, without the support of physical performance, 'the woman for the job.
This isn't surprising. Her heart is like a house with thousands of rooms. Her generosity extends to individuals and characters. As a professional, I know I can count on her. As a friend, I know she is there.

I've had the opportunity to collaborate with Séverine three times, twice for advertisements and once for a corporate film. The advantage of working with Séverine is that beyond her human qualities that always ensure a good time in her company, regardless of the character she's asked to embody, she prepares for it diligently in advance while being very attentive to the director's requests during filming. She also possesses this listening ability, a natural attention that allows her to maintain a good relationship with the client present on set.
I can say that when I prepare for a shoot, I always ask myself the following question: Is there a role in this project to offer to Séverine? And if you're also asking yourself this same question, it means you've already worked with her. For the rest, all that's left is to initiate a collaboration with Séverine Berthelot. Action!

Séverine is an extremely talented actress who has managed to captivate my attention. In my short film, 'L'ENTRETIEN,' she brilliantly portrayed an authoritative and haughty agency director, sporting a simultaneously strict and stylish appearance. She conveyed an impressive strength of character by combining a severe demeanor with undeniable elegance. Séverine's impressive portrayal of this powerful woman unveiling her vulnerability is fascinating and serves as an example of the depth of her acting and her ability to transcend the most complex emotions.
Her performance in my feature film, 'HIKIKOMORI,' is equally remarkable and brings true depth to the role. She embodies a gentle and comforting woman, evoking love and tenderness. Séverine's portrayal in this role reveals an incredible sensitivity, effortlessly bringing out the most intimate emotions. Furthermore, her aura of kindness and serenity perfectly aligns with her personality off-screen, reflecting remarkable authenticity and integrity.
I've been impressed by her professionalism and determination to always give her best, and it would be a pleasure and an honor to work with her again

The first time we worked together on a project was 12 years ago, and I hope that we'll continue creating anew, especially in the theater. When Séverine is on stage, she doesn't just perform, she doesn't 'act as if,' she 'becomes the character.' Her authenticity, determination, focus, and seriousness bring a depth and quality of work that's hard to find and match in the industry. Séverine is a true professional. I wish her the best because she deserves it for her talent and immense work capacity

Séverine A. Berthelot (A for angel) is a gem both as a person and as a professional! Séverine deeply involves herself, completely invests in the process of creating and embodying her characters. Time has no hold on her when it comes to studying, preparing their psychology—she delves into their history or creates an entire universe if necessary, not hesitating to (literally) transform herself to explore the extent of the realm of possibilities.
With all the generosity that defines her, Séverine puts her sensitivity, talent, and experience at the service of the director. Working with this extraordinary actress is a pleasure at every moment, an honor, and an advantage. But even after saying all this, I'm still far from accurately defining that rare extra something that makes her an exceptional actress.

I met Séverine during the filming of a commercial. Her generosity and kindness during the shoot were extremely valuable to the entire team. I remember a very fluid and instinctive performance. Everything I love and, I believe, contributes to making the interpretation of a role unique. I hope our paths cross again on other human and professional adventures!

How to speak of the woman I met and discovered, the Séverine of 2009, who in almost fifteen years has become the luminous actress we can admire now? I've been fortunate to follow her journey from afar, reading her questions, sometimes unanswered, that led her, from joyful obstacles to apparent voids, to the person she was preparing to become. I'd rather offer a few lines from her own account in the face of the upheaval that saw her almost 'reborn.' They will say enough about the luck I had to participate, in my place, in this explosion of talent and smiles. Thank you for writing them to me...
'Dear Pascal, thanks to you, tomorrow, like every day from here and elsewhere, on this slope or another, is now my day of birth. Starting tomorrow, better yet: starting from this moment, everything is new. Thanks to your gentle 'slaps,' I've just found what I was desperately searching for: I have nothing to prove to anyone. Yet, I emerge whole and luminous!!! What strength it gives! I am in the pulse of life. It's so intense that I feel it in my fingertips as I write: I've seen what I wanted to see, and I am fulfilled. That's all...'
Thank you to the artist, actress, and woman you allowed to be born, Séverine

So thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Séverine on my first short film titled 'RAGE'. A talented actress with a highly creative sensitivity. Her insight as an actress and acting coach was an invaluable asset. Many thanks again.
